Prayerful reading of the Holy Scripture

This is a guidebook to help you enter the wisdom of the Word of God, and to understand the meaning of the Holy Scriptures, revealed to those who come to it barefoot, as Moses did before the burning bush.

The wisdom of three thousand years, practiced by the prayerful of all times, allows us to savor the sweet and provocative taste of divine Revelation. We must venture in the desert of the heart to listen, once our mind is quieted, the personal call of the sacred text and to become witnesses, because now we won’t speak of what we’ve heard, we will speak of what our hands have touched: The Word of Life.

Like the seer of the Apocalypse, I invite you not only to read this book, but to delve into the believing and prayerful reading of the Bible (cf. Ap 10:9).

ÁNGEL MORENO, OF BUENAFUENTE is a secular priest, chaplain of the Cistercian monastery of Buenafuente del Sistal (Guadalajara), and parish priest of the small surrounding towns. He is a specialist in Theology of Spiritual Life, and he has published many books –several of them published in this same collection– referring to spiritual life from an experiential and contemplative dimension.
